When will SL-WHP Scholarship Applications be available? Applications
will be available 2nd Monday in April of the current year.
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements and Procedures
Residency
Applicants must be residents of Worcester County, providing appropriate documentation to verify their residency status.
Admission to an HBCU
Applicants must have received admission to a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Proof of admission must be submitted along with the scholarship application.
Documentation of HBCU Admission
A copy of the student’s letter of admission to an HBCU must be part of the student’s application packet that will be mailed to SL-WHP by the 2nd Monday in June of the current year.
Application Deadline
Completed scholarship applications folders must be postmarked no later than the 2nd Monday in June of the current year.
Attendance Documentation Deadline
Concrete evidence that the student is attending an HBCU must be submitted to SL-WHP no later than the 2nd Monday in September of the current year.
Award Notification
Student scholarship awards will be announced in October of every year.
Applicants must ensure that they meet all the above eligibility requirements
and provide the necessary documentation to be considered for the SL-WHP scholarship.
