501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status
SL-WHP has attained 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, enabling tax-deductible donations, fostering increased public support for our causes, and securing financial stability.

$10,000 Raised for Scholarships
In just over a year, SL-WHP has raised over $10,000 specifically for scholarships for deserving African American students from Worcester County, showcasing its adeptness in resource mobilization.

Successful Participation in Giving Tuesday Campaign
In November 2023, SL-WHP engaged in the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore’s Giving Tuesday Campaign, raising over $2,000, highlighting our collaboration with local partners and our ability to utilize collective giving events for effective fundraising.

Inaugural Scholarship Awarded
In December 2023, SL-WHP awarded its first $1,000 scholarship to Mr. Amir Harmon, a Snow Hill, Maryland resident and computer science major at Morgan State University, initiating our program supporting exceptional individuals in their educational endeavors.
